Description
1771 Casa Los Frailes is the monastrell of the oldest glass vineyards of the 75-year-old estate in calcareous soils, very poor and poorly evolved. 1771 is the year that the winery was bought by our ancestors from the King of Spain, Carlos III in public auction after having been expropriated from the friars (that is why it is called Casa Los Frailes). The label is a reproduction of some of the writing that still works in our possession as 13 generation. It is a monastrell of clones inherited from generation after generation, from our terroir and our Mediterranean-continental climate. It is a unique monastrell, with thin skin and without much color, delicate, elegant and with an exceptional freshness and length..
